SIMS - accessing from home

This is for staff who wish to access the SIMS system remotely.

There is no longer a requirement to log into the school system remotely to use SIMS when you are working outside of the College.

There is a web version of SIMS available that has a lot of functionality, but not all, so won't provide all features for a minority of staff users, but will suffice for the majority of staff

Click below link and enter your SIMS username and password, and then click the SIMS icon

If you are not using a school laptop and require full functionality, you will need to install the software onto your computer. IF installed already and you are still having issues, please see https://supportcvcc.clystvale.org/en/knowledgebase/article/sims-not-working

To download the software for Windows: (Mac users see here)
Go to http://faq.scomis.org/kb9079/and download (click green arrow!) the:

  • Scomis Hosted Application Connector

If you run a 32 bit Windows operating system, use 32bit download. If you run a 64bit operating system, use the 64bit download.

 
Windows 10 updates have also been known to cause issues - if this happens, the first thing to try is to download the latest 'Scomis Hosted Application Connector' from the kb9079 link above which should resolve most issues.
